Many times I wondered what was next to come and where I was heading to, knowing or not what I love doing.
As many of you, I grew up with dreams and aspirations to accomplish something great, something good or new that made me, or others, happy.
To keep on bringing to light your best potential is not always an easy task…But life has its ways to make it come to surface through tough or bright times, thanks to friends and family or random encounters. It then hits you straight on as an inspiration and makes you discover a new driven you and constant new passions during your evolution.
Passion happens when you start believing in your abilities to develop your skills and start taking action; this is where change and evolution towards a new exciting creative path comes in. Therefore I believe that the key to great achievements is time and humans; life experience and constructive criticism; and mainly a grasp of opportunities that life hands to you its own way, with motivation towards perfection and success.
By trying to figure out how to put my skills and talents at task while growing my own potential, to mix my hobby of creating things since I was a kid with finding a job I love doing while working in various fields, all that led me to develop my passion for creating a brand of leather handbags and jewelry.
If you are still wondering how to stimulate your passion and creativity to find your path or express your potential in order to reach your vision, here are some tips:
I-Define your passion
Sit back and try to remember…
When you were younger: what was your driving force, your hobbies or things you dreamed of doing or achieve, games you used to play…
You might say now you can’t recall any of it, but I am sure if you take the time to think about it and write down some blurry memories, you will have a list of things popping up into your mind. I suggest you note them down.
Now look at this list. For some of you it will be a much different path of what you are doing today, for others it will be an achievement of their past interests… but for most of us, you’ll realize that it is the continuation or a growth of skills/talents we didn’t develop then or knew how to master just up to until now.
This being done, lets define your passion. Your passion is a very powerful feeling. It is the extreme interest in, or wishes for doing something, such as a hobby, an activity, etc.
It is this intense feeling driving you to move forward or make things happen. It is mainly what pushes you to happily perform and excel in whatever you undertake.
The beauty of passion is that it stimulates your creativity, and for that reason, creativity is the expression of your passion: the ability to produce original and unusual ideas, or to make something new or imaginative.
It is Emotion compelling Action.
Then where does passion come from? Are we all creative and passionate?
For some of us passion is instinctive, for others it is a constant quest for something they can’t define yet.
“Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity, because if you’re passionate about something, then you’re more willing to take risks.” Yo-Yo Ma
Being tenacious and standing by your own convictions and passions, even if it’s not the ‘popular’ choice is what will increase your creativity because creativity is a fundamental mode of expression.
Creativity = Improvement and evolution of yourself
Passion=Essence of innovation and progress
We are all creative; we just develop it and express it in different ways and moments.
Creative thinking is something we can all develop. We can practice to develop this skill.
Think of qualities of your capacity to love, your spirituality, joie de vivre, sensitivity, creativity, charisma, graciousness, gentleness, dignity, and quiet strength.
Let your imagination express itself, not everything has to be thought of in a reasonable way in order to be uttered in a rational mindset.
Think of your capacity to give the best of you because you are passionate about something.
If you say you have never felt passionate about anything, don’t worry, it doesn’t mean that you have no passion or that you can’t develop it. Sometimes circumstances, experiences or time will shape your mind with a new vision and open your eyes on things you enjoy doing you never thought you would.
My best advice to you if you are in quest of something to be passionate about, is to try or experiment different activities no matter the field you are working in or environment you live in. Get out of your daily routine, explore, go for a walk, read, engage conversations with random people ask questions on how they got where they are today, how they became passionate about what they are doing and what they did to make it happen. Take risks, give yourself credit for trying something new and dare dreaming as when you were a child.
By doing this, you will meet new people, be exposed to new ideas and new mindsets and ways of doing things.
That Intellectual Stimulation will lead to exploration and creativity and eventually discovery of something you’ll get passionate about.
So don’t give up in your pursuit for passion and don’t be afraid to unleash your creativity.
