Everything started for me when I got into the organic business creating my own food business in Lebanon. I created the type of food that corporate people like me were seeking: easy and convenient organic food. What a find it was at that time! I must say that it was the stepping stone to a new phase on my path.
Before that, the concept of eating consciously was quite vague for me. However I used to care about the “diet” aspect of food, basically dealing with calories, and thus I was more focused on the proportion rather than quality.
My relationship with my health changed my life in ways I could not even imagine before. Eating healthy was truly a salvation for my body that started detoxifying from all the past years of eating processed food. Combined with regular sport activities, I really felt myself at my 40’s being stronger, fitter and healthier than I ever been in my 30’s.
Then, I started using my new inspiration for eating in a healthy way and took it to a higher level. And then from eating consciously, I transited to the larger concept of living consciously in all aspects that it entails.
Investigating the integrity of our food production chain, changing my perception of health and natural therapies, enlarging my vision on environmental matters, realizing my responsibility as a human being towards our fellow animals, creating a positive thinking mindset, and realizing the importance of sharing my know-how with others have become my major concern. I mostly learned everything on my own but had the great chance to meet incredibly inspired and inspiring people! I was greatly supported by a beautiful network of passionate and outstanding people. As I began to learn more, I felt empowered to create new habits and be able to make even more conscious choices in a hostile, over-processed world.
The more I learned and the more lessons I put into action, the better I felt and wanted to tell everyone about it! My closest friends can actually tell you quite a bit about that! They had their fill of it!
However on this “get your health” back path nothing is easy and when you take the decision to make this major switch it implies strong doses of resilience and faith. Our preset minds will create resistance and the temptation to get back or even stay in our comfort zone will be strong! But if you do succeed to reach this very point of serenity then you can expect the best reward ever. It will be a moment for you to remember of.
Mine was a moment I shared with a former client who used to have lunch on a daily basis in my restaurant. A 5mn slice of life during which he managed to put my hair on edge and gave me the certainty that I was doing the right thing by just saying “I want to thank you because I used to have cholesterol problems and since I am eating at O’Box my blood test improved”.
I was blessed.
